Deadline is October 31, 2023.  Applicants are required to submit a brief essay on why they should be awarded the scholarship, most recent transcripts and a letter of referral from their medical school.

Requirements:

• Must be a current resident of and/or raised in Luzerne or Lackawanna County.

• Must be a third-year student enrolled in a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy program.

• Should be committed to practicing medicine in Northeast Pennsylvania.

Funding for educational activities is derived primarily from donations from LCMS members although contributions are accepted from any individual or organization that would like to contribute.  Donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law and may be mailed to the Medical Heritage Foundation, P.O.
